ABOUT ME:

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist ( LMT) and Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). I have over 10 years working on the human body. My ideal client is one with pain acute or chronic, post-op recovery to reduce edema and to address scar tissue when the time arrives.

I am a Nerual Muscular Therapist (NMT). NMT assessments and examinations primarily address: ischemia (tight tissue with reduced blood flow), myofascial trigger points (hypersensitive points within muscles that give rise to referred phenomena, including pain),neural entrapment (pressure on nerves by muscles and other soft tissues), and nerve compression (pressure on nerves by osseous and other bonelike tissues, such as cartilage or discs), postural assessment (assessment of the position of the body as a whole),dysfunctional gait patterns (manner of movement when walking), with constant consideration for many other perpetuating factors, such as hydration, nutrition, breathing patterns, and psychologic stress.

NMT is highly effective for clients who present with chronic pain and is often successful in reducing or eliminating even longstanding painful conditions. Some of the techniques can also be applied to acute injuries and for post-surgical care; many help to improve performance in sport or dance and to prevent injuries due to these activities.

I am also a Certified Neural Reset Practioner (C-NRT). NRT is a highly effective way to release trigger points, soften hard muscles, and lengthen tight ones. It was created by Lawrence Woods. NRT allows the therapist to rapidly release muscle tension without any poking, prodding, or pressure on the body. It is done without oils and can be done without removing any clothing although I do like to incorporate basic massage techniques into my treatments. NRT is safe and effective, even for the disabled, the elderly, pregnant clients, and children. NRT often produces miraculous results in chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

I have a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. I am also a veteran. I use all my education to address your unique body.

I am now utilizing Quantum Alignment Therapy into my practice. QAT was originated by Dr. Metus from Canada with the help of two Russian physicists. They developed quantum field devices that help the brain connect with the body parts. Muscles work better, joints move more freely, and pain is reduced. Lawrence developed many additional applications and is teaching this modality around the world with the full support of Dr.Metus.

Veteran treatments address primary diagnosis on authorization. Often this is a regional treatment. Veterans are authorized 12 visits. The first visit will consist of assement and treatment and is 1 hour. Subsequent visits are 30 minutes per authorization.

I also perform bodywork on horses utilizing the Masterson Method as well as my knowledge from working on humans.
